Gilmer Fire Explorers will have two training dates next month.

On August 15 they will be joined by the Sheriff's Department Explorers for a class on helicopter landing zone protocol. The class will meet at the EOC at 9:00AM. Circumstances permitting, a helicopter will be landing at the North Georgia Medical Center to provide real-time use of the training.

On August 27 there will be a tour and practical exercise at the 911 Call Center. Members will meet at Station 1 at 7:00PM, and then travel to the Call Center. We anticipate a role-play scenario designed to show the techniques and required skills of our emergency dispatchers.
