We are a combination department dedicated to delivering professional fire and rescue services to the citizens and visitors of Gilmer County.  As a department we will always strive to do the right thing, maintain integrity, exceed expectations, and put others before ourselves.  We will be responsible for our actions and hold each other accountable. When called to duty we will “Risk A Lot to Save A Lot” and “Risk A Little to Save A Little”.  We will embrace change, be an ambassador for our department, and create a culture of “Pride and Ownership”.  

As an organization we will educate the public and our elected officials about our departments mission. Through that education and awareness, we will be better prepared to adequately fund our fire rescue department, serve our citizens, and increase firefighter safety. We will strive to improve our physical and mental well being through health and wellness initiatives. We will promote succession planning to develop our future leaders. Our members will be well educated, well trained, and prepared for all emergencies.
